    Projects chevron_right Shared Investment Mechanism

Partner with Agridence to turn your SIM into deliverable outcomes.

We work across the full delivery cycle: scoping the proposal with you, mapping plot polygons and registering farmers at origin, running geospatial risk and legality screening, delivering field surveys and training through our partner network across Southeast Asia and West Africa, and producing the MRV evidence and dashboards the Shared Investment Panel needs to sign off.

    What is SIM

    Pre-competitive funding for sector-wide outcomes.

The Shared Investment Mechanism (SIM) was launched by leading natural rubber manufacturer members in 2024, with approximately USD 3 million mobilised by 2025. It is a pre-competitive funding model where members pool capital to co-invest in supply-base outcomes that no single company would underwrite alone. Projects are proposed through an annual call or registered as in-kind contributions, and a Shared Investment Panel reviews each one against open-market criteria before approving disbursement.

Every funded project must deliver open-market benefits across social, environmental, and livelihood outcomes. Agridence helps members and implementing partners design, deliver, and measure SIM projects, turning pooled industry funding into traceable, audit-ready outcomes for smallholders, the supply chain, and the planet.

    How to engage us

Three ways to bring Agridence into your SIM.

    01
    Co-funded proposal
Partner with us on a proposal for the annual SIM call. If the Shared Investment Panel approves it, the project is co-funded from the pool.
    02
    In-kind contribution
Fund an Agridence-delivered project directly and register it as your in-kind SIM contribution. Fastest path, no call window, and you shape the scope.
    03
    Scale-up
Extend a live Agridence engagement under SIM funding. Broaden the geography, share the methodology with peers, or run the next phase at scale.
    What you can achieve

A connected record of every member, project, and outcome.

    travel_explore
    Plot-level SIM project visibility
Know the exact farms and polygons behind every funded project, including legality declarations, geospatial risk, and farmer-level training records.
    verified
    Verified open-market outcomes
Every outcome scoped, measured, and verified against the criteria the Shared Investment Panel uses to approve and report on funded work.
    monitoring
    Automated MRV
Carbon, deforestation, and livelihoods evidence collected, validated, and packaged automatically. No more bespoke reporting per project.
    dashboard
    Member-level reporting at scale
Member and programme dashboards roll up every funded project into a single view, so platforms and funders can see where the money went and what it produced.
    How it works

From pooled capital to panel-ready evidence.

Five steps. One common methodology. Scalable across commodities, members, and origins.

    01
Scope the SIM project with members
We co-design the project with you. Outcomes, plot scope, KPIs, budget, and timeline. Ready for the annual call, or as a registered in-kind contribution.
    02
    Map plots and baseline outcomes
AgriTrace collects plot polygons, farm details, and field-level evidence even in low-connectivity regions. Baseline measurement gives the project a real starting point.

    03
    Bring suppliers into the project
The Supplier Portal gives processors, aggregators, and origin partners a structured, secure way to upload GeoJSONs, declarations, and supporting evidence.

    04
    Deliver on the ground
Field surveys, farmer training, and intervention delivery through partnerships with tyre manufacturers (Continental), processors (Kirana Megatara, Southland Rubber), associations (SNV), and government bodies (GIZ) across Southeast Asian and West African origins.

    05
    Measure, verify, and report
Geospatial risk screening, plot scoring, and audit-ready evidence packs aligned with Shared Investment Panel open-market criteria. One common data model across funded projects.

    Frequently asked questions

    SIM, answered.

How does Agridence help with a SIM project? expand_more

We sit across the full delivery cycle: scoping the proposal with you, mapping plots and registering farmers at origin, running geospatial risk screening, delivering training and field work with our partner network, and producing the MRV evidence the Shared Investment Panel needs.

Can we integrate it with our existing platform reporting tools? expand_more

Yes. We integrate via APIs and standard data exports so SIM project data flows into your platform’s reporting layer and into members’ internal sustainability systems.

What kind of data is collected at the farm or supplier level? expand_more

Plot polygons, farmer registration, legality declarations, training records, baseline and endline measurements, and ongoing field evidence. Captured via AgriTrace on mobile, even in low-connectivity regions.

Is it suitable for both small pilot projects and full programme rollouts? expand_more

Yes. We support single-project pilots through the in-kind contribution route and full multi-member programmes through co-funded proposals or scale-ups.

Which commodities does Agridence cover for SIM work? expand_more

Natural rubber, coconut, cocoa, coffee, palm, and cotton. The methodology is portable; we adapt the field protocols and partners by commodity and origin.
